More than 20 fire crews have been called to a blaze at a motorcycle repair shop in Sydney’s inner west.
The fire is believed to have taken place at Percy Jack Motorcycles in St Peters. No one is thought to have been injured.
Witness Martin Newman, who shot video of the fire from nearby Lord Street said there were “explosions heard streets away.”
“Lots of fire engines and police have sealed either end of May Street,” he said.
“We were just sitting on the sofa, and we heard this bang – it sounded exactly like a car backfiring and we didn’t think much about it,” another witness told the Sydney Morning Herald.
Fire and Rescue NSW said there was nobody inside the shop when the fire started.
