A 14-year-old boy has been charged following a fatal traffic crash in Townsville, Queensland.
About 4.30am Sunday, a car was travelling north on Duckworth Street when the vehicle clipped the roundabout at the intersection of Bayswater Road and overturned.
It also hit a traffic light pole.
Three girls and a boy died at the scene.
Police said in a statement the 14-year-old driver had been charged with the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death yesterday.
He was also charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and burglary, as well as a count of possessing dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear in Townsville Children’s Court this month.
