Police continue to search for answers after a mysterious, violent incident that erupted across multiple properties in Canberra left one man dead and three others in hospital.
Police were told of a disturbance at the address and attended the scene at about 9am on Saturday morning, where they found a seriously injured man who was then treated.
Officers at the scene were then set upon by another man who was tasered and arrested.
A man’s body was also located along with an injured woman. The two men and the woman were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers cordoned off multiple sites along Braine St at Page, 15 minutes northwest of Canberra’s city centre, as a result, turning them into crime scenes.
NCA NewsWire contacted ACT police who were unable to say what prompted the incident or if a weapon was involved.
On Sunday, Detective Superintendent Scott Moler told reporters the task of processing the crime scenes was likely to take some time.
“This incident stretched over a number of properties,” superintendent Moler said. He also confirmed one of the men and the woman underwent surgery: “They are in a very serious condition.
“We‘re still working through all the issues in relation to the incident. We’re still piecing together the circumstances,” he said.
More information to come.
